2017 New Madison 4th of July Celebration

In keeping with the long standing tradition of honoring our nations independence, the New Madison Fourth of July Association establishes its mission a means by which we can carry out a yearly patriotic observance in New Madison, Ohio. The Purpose of this Committee is to formulate, prepare and carry out all plans for the Annual Fourth of July Celebration. All members of the Committee are volunteers so please take a moment and view the About Us section of the website to learn more and find information on how to join!

Independence Day (commonly known as the Fourth of July) is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States, but is often also viewed as simply a summer festival, apart from its patriotic overtones.

If you have attended our annual finale event, dubbed "The Best Fireworks Show in the Area" by many, you have a sense of feeling and pride that such a small town can come together and put on such an elaborate display of fireworks. Every year the committee and the fireworks display team strive to make it better than the year before, and this year is no different.

The committee must raise the appropriate funds to carry out the Fourth of July celebration every year. If you would like to support our celebration please click on the donate button on the right hand side of the page, or view the About Us page for information on where to send donations.

Have a Safe & Happy 4th of July Holiday!
